I know haswell are not yet fully supported BUT i am hoping in the coming months they will be!
Will this be a good build? or will it be better to go with a gigabyte setup?

hasswell are supported right now.

Apple released 10.8.5 today.

i vote for gigabyte since both ethernet and sound are supported.

So asus boards are not really useful then?

was hoping it would be usable... make for a great dual boot system lol

wont be buying for a few weeks,... hopeful someone makes some steps towards supporting that board i listed

i can only hope, at least there is a good board to fall back on...

Its not that Asus boards aren't useful, its that Gigabyte boards are easier OOB to get working. I have an ASRock board that I love, and I made mine work... granted its a z77 board, but it all boils down to how much time, effort and learning you want to put into something. If you like the board and want to use it, the use it! just be aware that it might be a challenge to get it working, especially if your one of the first - way to take one for the team!!

Good luck with either path you choose!
