Alexis Huchet
Hello,It makes now one week I try to hackintosh my new Acer Aspire V5-571G. It is not fully working, but at least, it starts.I tried to disable Nvidia Optimus (so the GeForce GT620M) by patching DSDT but I don't really know if is has worked.. Please some of you can take a look at my DSDT? I am not really an expert and tried to do my best, but I'm not sure I did right, I would like to know where I'm wrong!I also had some sleep issues and I am not able to use brightness controls..Thanks for your help! peppeverdi
Thanks again for your post. Now I have an issue with the combo Wi-Fi card. I replaced the original with the AR9002WB-1NG ((AR9285 wifi 168C 002B + AR3011 bluetooth 04F2 AFF1) to get more compatibility. So the DSDT and SSDT should be modified. I really appreciate some help on this.
WaldMeister
Hi, Sorry for the late response. Does the card work in Windows and/or Linux? I tried replacing the card with and 9285, but i could not get it to work. It was recognized, but i could not scan for networks. Anyway, the DSDT method for the AR9285: Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) // _DSM: Device-Specific Method { If (LEqual (Arg2, Zero)) { Return (Buffer (One) { 0x03 }) } Return (Package (0x0C) { "AAPL,slot-name", "AirPort", "built-in", Buffer (One) { 0x00 }, "device-type", "AirPort", "model", "Atheros AR9285 802.11 a/b/g/n Wireless Network Controller", "name", "AirPort Extreme", "compatible", "pci168c,30" }) } It goes under device PXSX under RP04. Modification has been done in the attached DSDT. DSDT.AML.zip
