jamiethemorris
I've been learning a lot about dsdt lately and how to patch my own. I'm starting to develop a pretty good understanding of it, but I'm seeing it mentioned in a few places that you can slim down your dsdt and remove unneeded sections. I've googled it quite a bit but I can't seem to find anything concrete. How do I know what I don't need? Master chief mentions this in the "how to boost the osx boot process" thread but I can't find anything on what to actually look for. Can anyone give me some insight on this? Thanks. 3.14r2
Some devices such as FDD or LPT port can be safely removed. Same probably is valid for the other dives not supported/used in OS X.
