Hi I am trying to install Mavericks through the guide posted by Gus93. I can not boot into the installer as it hangs at

 [iOBluetoothHCIController::setConfigState] calling reisterService

I'm currently running a Haswell System
CPU: Intel i5 4670K
MB: Asus Z87i-Pro
Ram: 16GB Apotop

I also don't have a discrete graphics card, and is running the internal Intel HD 4600.
Many thanks in advance.

Hanging at the Bluetooth message doesn't mean that Bluetooth is the problem.  If you look at the verbose messages when it hangs, about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way down, look for "Waiting for DSMOS".  Then another 1/3 of the way down, find "DSMOS has arrived".  If you find both of those, then you are probably hanging on graphics.  This would mean you are booted to the installer but you just can't see it.

Be sure that you are using the latest Chameleon with Haswell and HD 4600 support:  http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/231075-chameleon-22svn-official-pkg-installer-binaries/ and then be sure to use GraphicsEnabler=Yes

Try booting with: -v -x

Look up threads talking about the 4600 graphics.

Maybe try removing all AppleIntelHD* kexts from the installer.

Are you using Displayport, HDMI or DVI output?

I have Chamelon v2.2svn r2246

Tried GraphicEnabler=Yes, and -v -x. Still doesn't work.

Tried removing the AppleIntelHD Kext, still nothing.

I am using the DVI output

The guide you are following, all of the contributors seem to be using discrete graphics cards, not the HD 4600.  Browse through this HD 4600 thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/290783-intel-hd-graphics-4600-haswell-working-displayport/

I think the change to Chameleon happened after 2246.  Go get a newer one: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/59-chameleon-22-svn/

Of course, to test the effects of the new Chameleon, you will need to reinstall the AppleIntelHD* kexts.

You have them set to false, means it is turned off. I asked if you have them turned on, which is how it should be :P

  • 2 weeks later...

I recently got the Asus GTX760 graphics card. I have disabled the HD4600 from the bios. When I get to the same line, my screen looses input, and turns off.

Have you turned off GraphicsEnabler=yes?

Have you turned off GraphicsEnabler=yes?

I have tried both GraphicsEnabler=yes and GraphicsEnabler=No

I get to the apple logo with no spinning icon and it just hangs there

use -v -f -x

it makes no difference. after some bluetooth line it jumps to the apple logo and same thing
