Anyone have this chip? Specifically device ID 0x0156?

Can anyone with this chip report if you got QE working.

Asus X501A1

Intel Pentium 2020M 2.4GHz Ivy Bridge

Intel HD Graphics (PCI-PNP 0x0156)

Closest I can get to QE/CI is a successful framebuffer load using device-properties string/HDMI but then it hangs on login screen.

An aapl,ig-platform-id injection results in distorted/garbled video.

Any experts able to help me with this?

You may try Clover bootloader that is able to inject such video card.

Yeah I tried Clover but can't get it to boot. BIOS says no OS found. Going to keep trying.

(My UEFI board seems to have problems with EFI booting from USB, ASUS BIOS)

Here's what happens when I use Chameleon with device-properties injection.

Just stays on this screen after framebuffer loads. (Image attached)

This is using HDMI/External display, otherwise completely black screen on laptop.

Slice, this is where I get stuck in Clover using -x -f -v.

Using -v npci=0x3000 slide=0 results in pretty much the same thing.

Why would this be?

(In Chameleon I used a patched Intel kernel but Clover doesn't like it? says invalid magic number)
