Me too. Like to know this.

Work for me too. This was the last thing that did not work for me, beside speedster. But we will have to wait for that.

Thanks to all who helped us, Cobra, halechan and slemblod :)

Special thanks to FusselFux and of course toleda.

Now 10.8.4, 10.8.5 and Mavericks have sound for me on my GA-Z87M-D3H:

10.8.5: http://www.osx86.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=4098

Mavericks: http://www.osx86.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=4080

How did you install Mavericks on the GA-Z87M-D3H?

With myHack. Removed all video kext and rebuild caches.

Used DP1 to create the USB but now you can download DP4 to install.

BIOS > Load default settings

Update Chameleon to 2254 on the install USB (very important).

Boot with "UseKernelCache=No npci=0x2000 GraphicsEnabler=No -f -x -v"

Maybe use pci=off if it stucks at PCI config begin.

After install again update Chameleon on the Hard disk to 2254.

Do you mean 2255? Or is there a problem with Mavericks and 2255?

  • 2 weeks later...

Thanks for this post i just picked up a MSI H87M-G43 mainboard. I've never done it before so will be following what i can out of this post.

I understand I need to download Mountain Lion installed - DONE

Configure BIOS - DONE

Download MyHack - I'm guessing this is easy to follow instructions? is there anything i need to do that isn't obvious by the app?

I dont understand this:

you can solve the "PCI configuration begin" problem by following ways:

1. add chameleon boot options "-v npci=0×2000" or "-v npci=0×3000"

2. remove your dsdt.aml

Thanks guys

Limited speedstep [ 8 35 (36) 37 38 39 ]

Only 800MHz and 3.5, 3.6, 3.7 3.8 and turbo 3.9GHz

Waiting for a fix, but can live with that  :P

You can also use eg. DPCImanager 1.5 > P State (to view the speedsteps used)

Credits to SJ_UnderWater from tonyM..

Or msrdumper.

my speedstep also limited like you

[8 34 35 36]

I've tried to install using MyHack

I downloaded OSX ML from app store

ran MyHack, choose Create install disk, then chose 10.8, then let the process run through..

went into BIOS made sure AHCI was set for SATA

Disable on-board graphics

put disk into computer, boot from it (legacy, not uefi)

gets to bootloader, loads white screen with apple logo, then just hangs here..

MSI H87M-G43

Sapphire Radeon HD 7750

Thanks

Update Chameleon on the install USB and put the right kernel on it.

You need a patched kernel or the kernel from 10.8.5 beta. Or try Mavericks.

10.8.4 kernel has no support for Haswell, you need a patched one.

Also System 10.8.4 gives a white screen with eg.  a HD7xxx. You have to upgrade to Mavericks or use the sleep trick.

Thank you, i made a huge checklist of things to try tonight and not a single one of them would have fixed it.. I've got a successful install but as you say, white screen.. i'm wondering: how can i install 10.8.5 if all i can see is a white screen? :) thanks

I went back to onboard graphics and ran the 10.8.5 combo update and it broke OSX so i'm guessing this is the wrong way to do it, i've also read that it doesn't fix the white screen issue.

I'm worried about trying Mavericks, is it possible for us to update to the latest DP?

Help is appreciated thanks

Remember to restart after installing the driver

Then into the desktop when

First go DOCK on System Preferences> Network

Will prompt: There is a new hardware ...

Be sure to press the "Apply" (this is very important)

Over a 3 to 5 seconds.

Can automatically catch your ip

Thanks i managed to get network working but audio says no input devices found and controls are disabled.

I'm guessing sleep doesn't work either? just tested, monitor goes off but cpu and gpu still spinning, this is bad for me because i'm using it at a media centre and want it to sleep when i'm not using it. Looks like i might be back onto Windows until Mavericks is officially released

For your sound you can try this one: http://www.osx86.net/files/file/22-alc892-nodsdt-ml-and-mavericks/

It's for ML and Mavericks. Delete AppleHDA and other HDAenablers. Then install this AppleHDA and HDAEnabler892.kext.

Run myHack > myFix "Full"

BTW your HD7750 has full support in Mavericks.

In 10.8.4 and 10.8.5 you've to put your system first to sleep. After you wake it the card works.

Or use the fb-rotate method, but that is a little bit difficult to get that working (white screen) without sleep working.

Maybe try to get sleep working first or use Mavericks.

Thanks for the help.. i also got my 7750 working by setting my BIOS to onboard graphics, it gives no signal until OSX boots then it kicks in and it's working great.

My only issue now is no sound, and of course the issue of it not going to sleep.

I'm going to give Mavericks a go, if it doesn't work i'll be on Windows until it's officially released.. :(
