Picasso
Check this, Ihave copy from other forum: - If you are not using onboard graphics you have to disable it! - Onboard SATA set to AHCI mode with Hot Plug turned on for every port - XHCI mode set to Auto instead of Smart Auto - EHCI Hand-off enabled - XHCI Hand-off enabled - Secure boot DISABLED - Network stack DISABLED (this only affects the built in networking features of the UEFI bios, conflicts with AppleIntelE1000e) - When booting Hackintosh volumes, you will see both a UEFI and non-UEFI version of the device in the boot list, use the non-UEFI version for quicker boot. AppleAHCIPort IOAHCIFamily IOPCIFamily IOUSBFamily IOUSBMassStorageClass In fact , those are not needed! But , if you installed those files from 10.8.5, the information in "System Information" is right!

schot
For the GTX650 card you need to put in your boot.plist: GraphicsEnabler=No But do you have your system on AHCI? I have the same card Try to boot with: -v PCIRootUID=1 GraphicEnabler=No UseKernelCache=No So not the npic line!! I think this will boot your system, i had the same problem with my system, and this did the trick

schot
i don't get how yu did it. I can's boot even with Chameleon 2251, 2254, 2255 and 2256 How can you guys even boot? After loading KEXT my machine just reboot I tried everything. - Switching on and off hot swap (HSS) - Switching on and off my XMP (like it on more because my memory is DDR3 1600mhz XMP otherwise it will work on 1333) but it does not matter - Switchng on and off HPET - All SERIAL and PArralellports are off - On board sound off - on board LAN off nothing helps it keeps on rebooting. Tried 10.8.4 (with the 10.8.5 mach_kernel) Tried 10.9 dp4 nothing seems to work there must be a BIOS setting that i am forgetting everytime.... I have a MSI H87-G14 Mate, with 32Gb RAM (Crusial 1600mhz cas8), Samsung 500GB disk (with already Mavericks from my old setup), GTX650 Anyone has any idea why it still reboots after the kext loading? René_
Thanks Cobra for helping Sadly it doesn't work The speaker symbol stays grey. I'v tried a lot with the AppleHDA from 10.8.4 but can't get it working. Patching the 10.8.5 was no problem. Must be something with the Z87 chipset and 10.8.4 I think? Thats why I asked halechan for his kext.

Thats why I asked halechan for his kext. Well thought it was worth a shot. But I believe you are correct that It is indeed z87/Haswell issue. As 10.8.4 has no support for Haswell at all except for one version made for MacBookAir 6,1/6,2. Which is not Available to the "public". Now I read somewhere that if you can boot recovery mode and you have an accurate enough Smbios you can get this version via internet recovery. But I have not tried this as I just updated my 10.8.4 with 10.8.5.pkg.
