Graphic not working (intel HD4000)

My laptop is a Clevo W255eu

CPU : i5-3230M @ 2.6 GHz

Graphics : Intel HD4000

I use iAktos ML2

option :

  • graphics enabler
  • HD4000 patch port 3 63mb
  • 1366x768x32 (this resolution work only on chameleon)

when I want to start ML I always have a flash ans them a mouse appears in the top left corner.

I think this is a graphic issue.

i found.

from windows : PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0166&SUBSYS_0240155&REV_09

i use this http://olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1583&p=18409#p18409

and put this in Org.chameleon.Boot.plist

ig-platform-id: 01660009, Stolen RAM for FB: 64MB, Pipes: 3, Ports: 3, FBMem: 3

<key>device-properties</key>
<string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000009006601140000006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e626f6172642d31</string>

But the probleme is that I created it, normally it is in /extra but there isn't.

and now when I try to boot I get a black screen after verbose text

As artur suggested try all the stings, for me the 6th one finally worked ... I know it is a pain but he has a sound suggestion for you. I actually created 9 different boot.plist's  ...and this one worked for me with 786 meg on 10.8.4

I but a chameleon patched on my usb to test this.

only the id:3 give me a white screen. others give me a screen like my previous picture.

I'm trying to boot with chimera

Download Enoch bootloader binaries (download section) and Chameleon wizard.

Open Chameleon wizard, select i386 folder downloaded and update the bootloader.

Simply restart with GE=Yes

I'm having the same problems. I think a lot of people are having problems with the HD4000s recently for some reason.

Mine is either stuck like yours, or when it boots into gui it KPs.

I've tried all the injectors for the 32Mb, tried Enoch and every possible combinations.

injectors can be seen with ioreg, can you post what you get with:

ioreg -k AAPL,ig-platform-id |grep ig-platform-id

Also when the mouse is stuck, does the system hang? can you ping the box?

You can boot into safe mode at (-x) at the boot loader screen.

You should get to the gui without acceleration.

once you get in, it might be a good idea to enable remote login (ssh) and vnc so you can login to the box remotely.

@nate911 : for -x boot (safe) the clock stop turning but the hard drive continue to load things then there is a loading bar at the bottom, and when it's finish loading I got exactly like my first picture in first post.

I tried with -x -v but I got the same result as the second picture.

just to recap :

  • ig-platform-id: 01660002  : crash
  • ig-platform-id: 01660003 : white screen
  • ig-platform-id: 01660008  : crash
  • ig-platform-id: 01660009  : crash

On my laptop I got a VGA and HDMi. Windows intel software tell me that the minimum is 64Mo and the maximum is about 1.5Go of allocated ram for the IGPU.

The Clevo bios is really too limited. i just can set intel anti-theft, uefi and boot order!!!!!!

No patched bios exist because it's not know.

So i will check if VGA and HDMi is working (but I think it wont work if the main screen can't)

And i will also try iAktos ML3U.

PS : my problem is not solved but i want to thank you all for the help
