Samsung 840 pro 256gb... Not bad!

Pretty much bang on what they quote for read, write not bad either!

Have ordered a new 6gbps cable too as not sure what is in there at the moment, will see if it makes a difference!

According to ATTO Disk Benchmark on Windows, write speed on the regular 840 is a little more than half that. Read speed is the same.

I have 128Gb version of 840 Pro. Speeds are a bit lower, but I don't think you can feel it in every day use. Samsung 840Pro is definitely the best SATA SSD available at the moment.
