Hello together,

after succesfully installing Mac OS X ML on my external USB-HDD, I want to know,

how I can boot from it.

HP nx6125

AMD Turion x64

IDE HDD controller (not recognized by Mountain Lion -> any ideas?)

1024 MB of Ram

Ati Mobility Radeon x200m

The thing that makes you could boot into some disk is bootloader.

to boot properly you need bootloader installed on your disk,

one example for great bootloader is Chameleon (based on my experience)

and to install that Chameleon bootloader into your disk there is many ways.

you could install it from Chameleon Wizard.

To get your IDE HDD working, you could use IOATAFamily.kext

But, I'm not sure you can use it on USB-HDD.
