Hi everybody,
I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 notebook, Intel Core 2 duo 2.00 GHz, 2.5 GB RAM, Intel GMA 965 chipset.

Is my notebook capable of running OS X ?
If so, what version of OS X should I install?

And what are the kexts I should install?

Thank you.

Thank you.

But what does that mean? does that mean I can run OS X 10.6.x only on Dell Inspiron 1520?

Any further details? I'm kinda a noob here :)

You can install 10.8...

-Create a usb installer with myhack or create a custom installer like this (If you do not have a Mac or hackintosh for making instaler USB try out iATKOS or Niresh's distro).

-Boot into the USB and Install it on your laptop...

-Once you are successfully able to boot into the laptop ... you can start installing the required kexts to get it fully running

Hope this helps

Thanks for replying,

I'm currently download OS X 10.6.6i by Hazard.

Question 1: Will it run on my laptop?

Question 2: Can I burn it to a USB Flash Drive using Windows? because I don't have access to a Mac.

Thank you.

Thank you, so 10.6.6i by Hazard will run on my PC :)

Last thing, when I click the button 'Customize' on installation, what drivers should I check?

I'm sorry to bother you, but as you can see I'm a noob, what are the basic drivers? Do you have a list?
