starfox5194 Posted September 30, 2006 Share Posted September 30, 2006 okay well heres what happened.... i finally got xp and osx86 perfect then i try ubuntu... i start the install everything goes fine untill no it cant be, but it is the grub boot loader is wrighting over the acronis... well it says its looking for os's so i start to feel relived. then the pc reboots...... noooooooooooooooo...... it boots straight into ubuntu no sign of other os's nothing... plz tell me there is a way i can still boot into xp and reinstall acronis os selector.... or install a new boot loader in linux any help is greatly appreciated... i dont think my specks are needed soooooooooooooo.... yeah............ i depending on you... cbmkgd Posted September 30, 2006 Share Posted September 30, 2006 Edit the menu.lst for grub. You'll find -- by a quick search -- proper instructions in many posts in the HomebrewMac sub-forums. I suggest not trying to reactivate acronis os selector if you still want to keep ubuntu booting. Grub is very good, no need of acronis anyways.
