I have included a copy of IOReg along with console messages and a screenshot of system information/audio.

The IOReg is not useful.  Download IORegistryExplorer_v2.1 from toleda/audio_ALCInjection.  Save a copy and attach.

I downloaded the attachement and this is what I saw inside the enabler: http://cl.ly/image/3M1U2e2i2z1F

Which just begs to be layout-0 as there is zero data..

Xcode or Property List Editor: Show Raw Keys/Values

Just playing some songs on iTunes/Youtube. Initially i plugged the speakers in the green port but that didn't work. I tried all of the 6 ports on the back but none seem to deliver any sound. I can turn the volume up and down though lol

What did you select in System Preferences/Sound/Output?

See ML-Realtek ALC AppleHDA Screenshots in toleda/audio_ALCInjection.  It matters what audio device is selected and what connector the speakers are plugged into.  For example, Internal Speakers is the motherboard green port.

Checked that. Internal speakers and connect to the green port. Nothing. Any luck with those files?

I also noticed that when i play a song on iTunes, the pause button appears but the track seeker doesn't move at all. Don't know if this helps.

10.8.4

Im confused, this is a Mavericks thread, your IOReg says you have a 10.8.5 kernel installed and you run 10.8.4 OS X.  Audio may never work on that configuration; suggest 10.8.5F23 or newer.

I am using the 10.8.5 kernel for Haswell support. Your thread (http://www.insanelym...applehda-audio/) says the supported OS releases are 10.8 - 10.8.4. So i thought since i am running 10.8.4, patching the audio kext should work. Unless the kernel is causing the problem?

Can any genius do one for the VIA VT2021 codec?  I seem to be stuck at Platforms.xml and bin patching:

VT2021.zip

Thanks so much!

Never mind, got it! AppleHDA for VT2021 - Mavericks ONLY! 2.5.2fc2

I have tested 10.8.4 only with the kernel included in the combo update. The first 2 10.8.5 betas did not work (no sound) with the 10.8.4 AppleHDA.kext; 10.8.5 F23 and newer works (sound) with the 10.8.4 AppleHDA.kext.  I have no idea why it didn't work or why it is working now.

Replace AD1984 to ALC662, and ALC884 to zero

8419d411 > 6206ec10
8408ec10 > 00000000

I confirm it work well :)
I patched my AppleHDA with (Used app HexFiend):

84 08 ec 10 replace 00 00 00 00

84 19 d4 11 replace 69 02 EC 10

My system:

- Sound card : ALC269VB ( Nodes : 12 14 18 21)

- OS X : Mavericks 10.9 DP5

- AppleHDA.kext build 2.5.2

- I'm using Clover. I have to config file Config.plist with NoCaches = Yes

Note: 69 02 EC 10 is my Vendor ID, your sound card may be different. If you use NoCaches = No, AppleHDA.kext will be not load !

You will have to use the AppleHDA on my blog for now on the non 10.9 DMG and use the DSDT and AppleHDA on the DMG for Gigabyte until we can get it working.
