Hi! I couldn't make run my mackintosh yet but it´s a good guide. What is faulting is a guide about BIOS settings, and if any PCI card may be connected or not, or so on ...

Thank you for your job!

PS: I need guide for a Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H, Intel i7, PCI video card Zotac GeForce 9500GT

Hi there,

Thanks for the guide. I have followed it all and boot the installer choose english setup language and then it comes up with a message saying that Mac OS X 10.9 can't be installed on this computer.

Not sure what I am doing wrong, I only put the kexts in the package provided not sure if I am supposed to put the keyboard or sound one in as well.

System specs are:

Celeron G530

Foxconn H67M

Asus G210 silent 1gb

4Gb Ram.

Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.

Celeron G530Cel

I see this post is a few months old by now, and would have hoped that some kind person would have helped you by now. check out this page and use this installer on your system. myHack Guide | myHack

I'm sure we're all itching to give Mavericks a go so here's the install process:

The process is mostly the same as with Lion/ML except a few subtle differences.

Any problems with the below please don't hesitate to let me know.

installation troubleshooting thread here:

http://www.insanelym...roubleshooting/

Essential Software

All included as an attachment below (use the V2 attachment).

Creating the installer

1. Prepare your USB as GUID partition map with a HFS+ partition.

2. Mount your Mavericks DMG (Right click on “Install OS X 10.9 Developer Preview” then its in /Contents/Shared Support/InstallESD.dmg)

3. Mount BaseSystem.dmg by typing the following in terminal:

open /Volumes/OS\ X\ Install\ ESD/BaseSystem.dmg

4. Restore “OS X Base System” to your USB

5. Navigate to /System/Installation your USB drive Delete the “Packages” link then copy the Packages folder from “OS X Install ESD” to this location.

6. Use pacifist to extract mach_kernel from /OS X Install ESD/Packages/BaseSystemBinaries.pkg to the root of your USB drive. (Note: This is in the attachment).

7. Copy essential kexts to /System/Library/Extensions on your USB stick.

8. Install chameleon to the USB drive

9. Create the extra folder for the USB (copy your old one over)

10. Copy your folder of essential software & kexts to your USB stick.

Installing OS X

1. Install OS X. After install boot back into the installer then:

2. From the installer go to Utilities and Terminal.

3. Type cp –R /System/Library/Extensions/NullCPUPowerManagement.kext /Volumes/"OS X"/System/Library/Extensions/

4. Type: cp –R /System/Library/Extensions/FakeSMC.kext /Volumes/"OS X"/System/Library/Extensions/

(Note: the above assume you called the partition you've installed OS X to OS X).

5. Type reboot

Part 4 – Initial boot

1. Reboot your system and boot to the USB stick again but this time select your OS X install. This should boot you into your installed copy of ML (any problems here try booting with -v -x -f before posting to the forum).

2. Install chameleon to your OS X drive.

3. Copy your Extra folder over.

4. Reboot & enjoy!

@Rockinron_1,

Thanks for your installer instruction. I have 6 successful hackintosh installed in 6 different computers using your installer. Recently, I bought a Lenovo ThinkServer TS140 as workstation desktop. The following are the specs:

CPU: Intel Xeon E31225V3

MB: Lenovo said it's Talon Planar ( never heard) it's socket 1150 MB

Chipset: Lynx C225

Graphics from CPU: Intel HD4600

MEM: G.Skill Ripjaw XMP DDR3 1600

SSD: Kingston (Windows 8.1 UEFI installed)

Separate HDD: Data

I have a blank HDD exclusively for OSX hack.

Install: Mavericks 10.9.4

I used Rehabman-PikerAlpha Haswell patch to prevent premature re-boot. With patching the mach_kernel, it reboots immediately.

With patched mach_kernel, I am stuck at

"BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 no such file or directory"

I used boot Args: -v -f -x; -f-v ; -f -v -x; all lead to the same outcome. Attached below is a shot of the boot screen.

Below screen shot for your reference as a comparison using Clover EFI installer legacy install.

Any help from you or anyone here would be highly appreciate.
