I'm trying to follow this guide using Clover r1942.  I've been installing OS X using a bootable USB that has Chimera on it then booting into my OS X installation that way and following the guide as layed out on the first page.  When I boot the first time from the USB I get a menu that asks me to reinstall OS X, I do that and try rebooting with non cache and injected kexts and the same screen is presented to me over again.  Can someone point me in the right direction for getting this up and running, I'm a bit of a newb at this.

I'm not suture for 100% I did not done all testing before I upgraded my bios to 16c its much better...

But sleep does not work cos of 15r or I think cos of just nvidia HDMI fix....

What I want to say sleep didn't work for me cos I just apply nvidia HDMI patch... But when I apply hd4000 then nvidia patch sleep works fine... Looks strange but how it worked for me...

What is the experience of BIOS version 16c vs 15r?   Does it make sense to upgrade or not?

Thanks!

just set fast boot and its working just nice.

Before 16c wass having bugs.

Hi friend listen me please.

You have clocked the time from when you press the power button on the pc to get to the desktop? on my asus it takes me 25 seconds, maybe the asus thinks there very much, uff

I want to say that maybe the asus bios to read, takes a long time, maybe do a lot of testing

Fix for firewire bug when CSM disabled.

When we disable CSM we get alot of this error in Console

FW GUID in system is 00000000000000

VanillaCracker post this driver on another forum to fix this error.

attachicon.gifFirewireDriver.efi.zip

U need just put it into drivers64UEFI folder.

Now we dont have this error anymore in Console, and ioreg looks like this

There its no invalid 000000000000 GUID here.

Hi all.

Just found a way to fix this bug proper way.

Now driver works after sleep too.

Use this new driver from asrock z77 extreme 6 or intergate it into bios.

Driver for using with clover folder its .efi

Driver for integrating this into bios its .ffs

Guide how to integrate can be found in this thread.

Drivers.

I can say that now this board works like real mac without any problem at all.

:hysterical: you are a strange ...now this is a not OT ????

Sry carmine but its not off topic since we discuss about our gigabyte z77x ud5h board...

yes pls send me 16c which you use with drivers...

and what drivers do you use its different from my?

Here its my current bios.

F16c with all latest oproms  for rev 1.0 and rev 1.1 and integrated all drivers except emuvariable uefi becouse when i integrate this driver i cannot boot windows 8 uefi from clover but only directly using f12.

After flashing u can delete all drivers from folder except emuvariableuefi.

If u wanna u can add this driver too usng this guide i posted today.

Report how its going for u with firewire problem after sleep now.

I too have strange GUID same as yours but firewire its working...

Thx for big fix! no more Firewire errors...

but with all drivers in BIOS my BIOS start load too slow... stay at "A2" like 3-5 sec... so I just made 16c_mod6 with Firewire.ffs and it works like before but without Firewire errors...

Now Gigabyte can keep work on Z87 since they forgot about Z77... but we now have found our own FIX!! Thx xpamamadeus!!!

Morning folks, last night I did the same as you EvgeniX and added just the new Firewire.ffs to mod6 as that was all I really needed in there.

I couldn't really test if it had worked or not as it would not fully wake from sleep (It turns back on but no display), I was certain it had woke ok earlier in the evening so reflashed mod6 and using the same BIOS settings and Config.plist it wakes fine.

I know xpamamadeus has a Rev1.0 board but can I ask what Rev is yours EvgeniX (Mine is Rev1.1)?

I also use the HD4000 for graphics, could this make a difference as I do have a GTX285 I could use to test with?
