Im Bobert : - ) firstly my problem is ML 10.8.2 not booting anymore as it was before (retail clean (myhack) install) please continue reading to see specs and full problem. HOWEVER IT IS LONG AND I DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS A SIMPLE PROBLEM SO ONLY READ IF YOU HAVE TIME AS I DONT WANNA WASTE YOUR TIME, THX - PLUS I WANT TO GIVE YOU THE FULL VIEW OF WHAT I HAVE DONE, scroll to the bottom to see the problem. specs are (i know not great for "hackintoshing") MOBO Gigabyte z68x-ud3-b3 Chip Core i7 2600k 2GB Ram Evga GTx 670 2GB 3TB HDD what i did that caused this problem (Hybrid MBR/GUiD) home built for windows to work on guid scheem basically windows didnt like 3TB and the GUiD that mac loved so i read up and modded my GUiD to let windows see it and work. So what i did was, Partition my pen drive on a mac and make a mac installer of 10.8.2.dmg, and it booted fine ish on this system, then i partitioned up this systems 3TB drive and installed mac 10.8.2 then windows and then linux (all i did was boot the pen drive, then loads diskutil* and click partition 3 times and guid scheem so all the stuff here is standard right.) then as mac is installed first to the first partition i installed windows 7 to the 2nd partition then ubuntu 12 to the third partition with no swap (mount point is / on the third partition) and (yeah i know its slower but i dont notice it on this machine) so all i now have is windows 7 with SP1 installed and there are no issues at all other than i cannot YET get back to Mac nor Linux yet ! this is as my chameleon or clover or chimera boot loader was wiped out or whatever by boring old windblows boot loader... so i also look up how to make a chameleon boot cd, i made my own back on that other mac rather than use myhack pen drive for a number of reasons.... so i booted back to mac on my 2.2 chameleon boot cd, nice i load up mac and it works nice... i restored the boot loader everythings fixed i see when i boot back to normal screen of chameleon latest 2.2 r2235 i think... then i installed windows 8 Pro (not windows 8.1 blue but windows 8 Pro build 9200) this then killed YET AGAIN the F*& boot loader ... so i managed to boot back to mac partition and install the latest chameleon again BUT and this is the problem Mac os x 10.8.2 Mountain Lion has decided NOT to boot up but the others are fine ?? what gives ?? Please god someone help me... all id like to do is boot it up chimera just reboots when im trying to boot it up from the cd (rboot) chameleon well thats the same as above (hangs at macs [pci configuration begin] ) clover reboots OR KP's commands ive tried -F -f -v Kernel=DIR to Kernel ahcidisk=1 debug=8 npci=0x2000 npci=0x3000 pcirootuid=0 pcirootuid=1 all of these all ways and on all loaders that booted up i have 3 kernels that ive tried and its not booting up at all on any of them what happends is that either the screen goes to the apple logo and freezes or it reboots an with -v it either KP's or sits at the infamous pci config begin or it then goes to the apple logo and reboots .... BONKERS the other mac is my toshiba nb100 and i cannot use [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] AND it isnt running my usbs properly (at all now not sure why) please help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I then Installed Iatkos from usb with Chameleon 2.2 2232 boot loader install on USB USB boot and partion GUID and select my hardware from the bootloader options.> graphics ECT. After install ON 3 PCs (HP 7700 , Toshiba , Dell) I just used -f -v once I had to use UseKernelCache=no u k c are caps At boot > I use f8 to select the OS I want to BOOT Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bobert01 Posted May 28, 2013 Author Share Posted May 28, 2013 yeah but the problem is that i now have no working mac at all and i cannot just redo the pen drive as im on windows only... unless i cheat and use niresh usb 10.8, i might try that now and post back.. BRB right heres the update on windows 8 i made the new usb pendrive via niresh ML 10.8.0 and it worked AND it booted to the install, i then did a little wee i then installed mac osx ml 10.8.0 that worked then i rebooted, but with no chameleon i thought i should keep the drive in (the pen drive) - i then booted from the pendrive and it saw my mac partition...great i booted the mac partition no commands/flags just normal boot. I never did anything after installing Mac> installing win8 before Mac on GUID> 3 partions. 1. win8 2.ML 3 ML I select the things I need with the Chameleon options before install only problem i have was wifi and ALC262 audio > bought usb audio $10.98 > Now have Bose sound You can create a restore IMg and restore with NIsh to a USB HD . then boot to USB HD for a backup to do what you want. Hello! For you GPT error, you have to install the boot1h manually. Copy this at the root of your usbkey for example. Boot on the osx dvd the go to the disk utilities and unmount your system partition. Open the terminal, type "diskutil list", look for your osx partition identifier, for example /dev/disk0s2 Go to your boot1h folder (cd /Volumes/(your usbkey) the type "dd if=boot1h of=/dev/disk02(replace disk0s2 with your correct disk identifier).
