hellslinger
Hello, fellow Hackintosh-ians I'm hoping to get some expert advice for getting sleep to work on my Asus G50V. It has an ICH9 chipset and Core 2 duo P7450 at 2.13 GHz. It goes to sleep (S3) with the light flashing, but it does not wake up entirely, showing nothing on the screen with unresponsive input. I have tried all the ICH9 DSDT patches, sleepenabler to no avail. As far as I can tell, it is generating 8 different P states and HWMonitor is showing that the CPU is properly moving between all of them as needed. The laptop also has an NV GF 9800GS M. This graphics card tends to run fairly hot/warm in Mac OS X, less so than it does in Ubuntu Linux with Unity w/OpenGL effects. Maybe this is normal, however, I would suspect this being the culprit for preventing sleep. hellslinger
Damn, unfortunately the machine still will not respond after waking up. I'd love to learn how to troubleshoot DSDT. Would you mind explaining to me what you did, or any possible strategies?

hellslinger
Yeah, I've checked as much as I knew how to check before coming here. I've made several hackintoshes before and eventually I got sleep working on all of them. This gaming laptop is particularly difficult it seems. hellslinger
I went into the bios and disabled everything but USB and SATA. I even took out the wireless card. Still unable to wake. I think it is best to consider this one a loss. Thank you so much for your help and time!
