awak3
Hello everyone, its nice to be part of a new community again! I've always wanted a hackintosh on one of my computers just because the idea of it seemed cool and there's some software on Mac that I would love to use. I decided to make that idea a reality and Installed the distro Nerish 10.7.3 v2 as some people said this was the ditro that was most compatible with my machine. I was able to install Nerish and boot into Mac but only after solving one problem with the graphic kexts. I had to delete the following in the following manner: rm -rf /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelGMA* rm -rf /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelHD3000* rm -rf /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelHDGraphics* rm -rf /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext rm -rf /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext rm -rf /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelSNBVA.bundle rm -rf /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/System/Library/Extensions/ATI* rm -rf /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/System/Library/Extensions/GeForce* rm -rf /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/System/Library/Extensions/NVDANV* chown -R root:wheel /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/System/Library/Extensions/* chmod -R 755 /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/System/Library/Extensions/* After deleting that I was able to boot in but my Graphics card was not being recognized and if I tried any of the above kext my PC would hang at dsmos has arrived, so I'm stuck at 1024x768 display. With that being said, it seems that its possible to get most of the necessary drivers working on this laptop according to this video: http://www.youtube.c...?v=LAkqdB5hsUk My graphics card is not working, my wireless doesn't seem to work (despite the various kext I have tried), as far as I know ethernet does not work either (but I don't really care to much about it). Every other hardware is working great, surprisingly! PC Specs: Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-2330M processor Speed : 2.20 GHz Graphics Card: Intel® HD Graphics 3000 Chipset: Intel® HM67 Express Chipset Memory: 3 GB 1 DIMM DDR3 1333Mhz Storage: 400GB 5400 RPM hard drive Communication: WLAN & Bluetooth : Standard Combo Dell Wireless Card 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0+HS Interface: 1 x Ethernet / RJ45 1 x HDMI 1 x VGA Port 3 x USB 2.0 1 x Headphone jack 1 x Microphone jack Anything else I missed can be found here: http://laptopmen.blo...0-specs_17.html I would appreciate all the help required to get my first Hackintosh usable, it seems it is possible. joe_black
Install system definitions for Macmini5,1. Set video RAM in bios below 384MB. (ex. 256mb) Use Chimera bootloader and boot with DVI or HDMi connected. HD 3000 should now work completely. Your integrated wireless will most likely never work.
