ill have around 200$, lookin to get possibly a SSD or Msata HD, and another 8Gb or ram. My question is what would be better a 30gb msata from cruical for $60? to just play windows games and thats it ill barley be using it jus mostly for games and other things. or get the SSD for a bit more? and as for the Ram I have (2) 4Gb Sticks of corsair low profile vengence ddr3 1600mhz memory, should i get same thing (2) 4gb sticks on newegg or get one 8gb stick?

Thanks

30GB might not be enough for Windows 7 64-bit + games (esp. several games installed at the same time). IMO an SSD could be a better option. 60GB SSDs aren't that expensive these days.

As for the RAM, I'd suggest getting another 2 sticks of 4GB (of the same model/vendor) instead of a single 8GB module.

Yeah 30GB is definitely not big enough for 64-bit Windows 7, it's a mystery to me why they even make drives that small.

To give you an idea, my C:\Windows folder (installed January 2013) is 20GB. I'd go with, at the very least, 128GB. I have the 256GB Samsung 840 SSD, very happy with it. I'm still on SATA 3GB/s though. I can't wait to unleash it later this year when I get my new motherboard.

I agree with The Round One on the memory configuration. Or you could try to sell your 2x4GB and buy two 8GB sticks instead.

alright is there any reason why it wouldnt matter that much if i go with a Normal HD? all i have right now is 500gb wd sata drive, speed isnt that much of deal breaker to me right now since i just will be using this extra hd

for windows games, dont really wanna spend over $100 on a hd jus for windows that i will be using probably once or twice a week. as for the memory i will use the 2 4gb sticks.

A good SATA 2 7200RPM HDD would also be relatively fast.

http://www.newegg.co...N82E16822178339 worth considering this one, as it's something in the middle (performance vs capacity) between SSDs and HDDs

i decided ima get a wd 500gb sata drive for windows games, for $59 off newegg and the corsair LP vengence 2 4Gb sticks off newegg for $69, around $130 total. Is it very easy to install windows 8 with usb stick?

i also have my eye on a cpu watercooler so i can overclock my 3570k to around 4.5-4.7ghz. Is the H80 from corsair decent? for $70-80 not bad deal

Can't say about W8, but W7 is a peace of cake (though a working W7 is needed to restore W7 ISO to USB using Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool).

IMO this model certainly is not for overclocking. I guess it's more aimed to replace the OEM fan/heatsink, rather then for ovecklocking.

i noticed alot of people said they got their 3570k to 4.2ghz with ease.
Not that I doubt this :)

I'm not in to overclocking (don't fix what's not broken IMO), but most overclocked machines I've seen here and there, were equipped with custom build liquid cooling systems (from separate parts). These systems obviously cost more. The better LC system you have, most likely, the better OC results can be achieved.

Other thing to note is that a stock fan cools down not only the CPU itself, but a chipset too (by providing some air flow directed toward MB).
