I've tried searching and re-searching as much as I could for the hardware that I have to see if I'm capable of installing osx onto my machine.

Here's what I have...

Intel Core i7 2600k (Sandy Bridge, Socket 1155 LGA)

ASUS Maximus IV Extreme

16GB DDR3 G.Skill RAM (4x4gb)

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480

500gb HDD

BIOS INFO:

American Megatrends Inc. 3208 4/13/2012 v.2.6

I have some experience with osx86 builds...I had an AMD machine, it was a while back though...but think it was a combination of #####, -- PIRATED OS h --s 10.6 iso, and a bunch of flags to get it to boot...anyways, thanks for any and all help. It's much appreciated.

You should use this guide: http://www.insanelym...-for-beginners/ . There is a DSDT patch aviable for your motherboard: http://olarila.com/forum/packs.php download is there. Your video card works OOB with 10.8.2 and 10.8.3 just have to use GraphicsEnabler=No and you will have to use a patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement kext for your sandy bridge CPU to prevent kernel panic.
