I can't figure this out. I even reset the BIOS completely to test this. Any ideas? I noticed my RAM say 8GB 0Mhz...

EDIT:

AH!! Forget it. Happening in Windows too. And the high score was probably 64bit test. I found a list of 32bit scores, they report 11k or about.

Not only that: that high score is with absolute certainty from an overclocked machine. Geekbench scores for a 2600K usually fall between 11k and 12k, both with 32-bit and 64-bit benchmarks. If your CPU was a 3770K, though, it should be a lot higher, about 13k.

Alright, so all is fine. I was just in the process of looking at my scores and performance, both CPU and GPU, before I declare OSX for my main OS ;-)

This should be one of the last steps. Now comes the long run test, all on stock clocks, so I expect no fails on the system side.

In fact, my main machine benches around 11.100/200 in OSX and 10.700/800 in Windows 7 (64-bit Geekbench): Mountain Lion consistently outperform Windows 7 (which by its turn used to beat the {censored} out of Snow Leopard) in 64-bit benchmarks, as i said before. Paradoxically, the tests take longer to complete under OSX, but that's some Geekbench idiosyncrasy, i suppose.

For some reason windows always scores significantly higher than osx for me. In mountain lion I usually get around 16500 and in w7 I get over 18000 iirc.

For what it's worth, geekbench always reads my mhz wrong. I think it's usually like 30 MHz or something.
