RAM : 4 GB DDR3 1333

HDD : 500 GB HITACHI

i installed 10.8 in this setup , webcam works , bluetooth works , but i cannot get QE/CI though i've tried injecting device id to boot.plist , injecting it also to dsdt ( my device id is 0166)

can any of you guys help me?

Hi,

Moved the topic to the right section, try the following DSDT.

NVidia should be disabled also.

Just wondering, method DTGP had not been added, so what has been patched?

thanks for moving it to the right section

whoops my bad i attached the wrong dsdt

Oh i see i forgot the usual DTGP and AAPL patches

and you've been so kind as to provide me a PINI method to call DOFF ()

thanks a million Lejenk!

I did not add the dual link, DTGP has been added, i don't know if the patched.aml had all the patches, if not, apply the rest and test it.

I closed the other topic, the nvidia should be disabled in the above DSDT :)

Nvidia disabled? Just wondering, had help with my own system, never got it to work on someone else's system :)

Just compared it to my DSDT and added the function PINI.

Glad the QE/CI works, look at device IGPU, method _DSM, just replaced it with my code for the HD4000. Compare it to your previous code.

yes i think our motherboards are somewhat alike, i added dsdt edits for applehda , and i still need to add a few _DSM method for EHCI blah blah

haven't tested it just yet but i'll post a guide here when i'm done with it

Yeah well, as i stated, had some help with disabling my Geforce also, and i was well, a noob when it came to this. But it was explained luckily, your DSDT was easy, it already contained everything needed to disable it, does not happen that often.

There is a topic over at projectx, which somewhat explains how to disable the optimus cards to reduce heat, but it is more a research topic, so you have to go through it. If you are not familiar with DSDT editing, you can forget about it, just ask help, my honest opinion.

Your DSDT is the exception, add the method PINI, and add the method to right places, done, it seems.

So not obvious, just lucky.

Hope this explains it somewhat :P
