apocalypse-666
Hello, I've been trying to install Lion 10.7.3 on Dell XPS M1330 for a while now. I can succesfully install and run it on 64 bit mode but without the proper screen resolution. This laptop has a Intel x3100 (GMA 965) graphics. To be able to obtain correct resolution, I tried to apply these http://www.osx86.net/view/1673-x3100_gma965_lion.html but never been able to boot to 32 bit (arch=i386) mode. I have the latest Chameleon installed on the system (v2.2svn r2181). I tried many boot flags including npci=0x2000, PCIRoot=1 etc with no luck I have also attached a screetshot of the KP. Does anyone has a suggestion for me? BTW, I also tried to replace AppleACPIPlatform.kext and IOPCIFamily.kext with legacy ones.
CoBrA2168
I would suggest trying an older Chameleon...I'm using v2.1 r2069 with my X3100 graphics in 32-bit mode. I've never booted in 64-bit
apocalypse-666
Are you also using M1330? or it's just the graphics card that's matching? What are your kernel flags? Which extensions do you use? Sorry for so much questions?

Sorry for so much questions? Nope...Lenovo T61 laptop. I am not at my laptop now, so I can't tell you exactly what Kexts and boot flags I'm using. However, I started off my build by using this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/281430-my-mini-guide-for-install-1074-on-lenovot61-7661-cto/ Later tonight I'll post my specific information. apocalypse-666
Ok I've got one step further, now I am running 10.7.5 on this machine. It still boots normally, still wrong resolution, but this time, when I switch to 32 bit mode, the displays goes to sleep after boot, just before I see the desktop. I am now using these kexts: http://www.osx86.net/view/3459-intel_x3100_rev_0x2a02_32bits_and_qe-c_...html Any ideas?

apocalypse-666
Thank you CoBrA2168, AFAIK, the monitor is natively 1280x800, the DSDT I am using is from this topic: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/190780-guide-making-a-dsdtaml-for-dell-xps-m1330-xps-m1530-and-xps-m1730/ It's the one named : DSDT_M1330_NVIDIA_ANYCPU_20111029.zip This does not have Nvidia injection thus I thought I could use it. Do you have any ide how to inject EDID or how to edit DSDT accordingly?

You may need to follow the EDID inject from this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/208410-fixing-scrambledstretched-or-wrong-resolution-laptop-display-problems/ However, I wouldn't know why you can't get the correct resolution. I suggest installing again with the stock x3100 kexts. All you need to replace from the pack you linked to in the first post is the one labeled "FrameBuffer"
