1) The most important thing makes me so angry - The BIOS resets all its settings everytime i boot OSX up. Do you know any working solution? Im sure its not related to CMOS battery.

2) The Ethernet works only when i connect cable before OSX boot. If i plug the network cable when system is ready to use - yes the connection is working, but i got many packets lost and the ping to gateway is very high.

3) The Wifi does not work (Intel 6200 a/b/g/n)

4) I got no sound. Both integratel Intel HDA (connexant codec) and ExpressCard Creative X-Fi XtremeAudio (in linux uses intel hda driver with ca0110 codec) doesnt work.

5) If i set Polish Pro keyboard layout and set password with some special characters, i cannot login any longer because the keyboard layout seems to be different before i login. How can i set it globally?

Thanks in advance!

1) DSDT patching needed to avoid this.

3) Apple doesn't use Intel WIFi cards, so there is no support nor from Apple, neither from Intel (they could not care less). Buy a used supported Atheros/Broadcom card or USB WiFi card if you REALLY need OS X running with WiFi.

4) Conexant should work with Azal.kext (don't know if ML version of the kext exit please search). Don't know about Creative card.

Thanks for all replies. Actually i dont really need a wifi, but id like to be able to connect ethernet at anytime w/o worrying about lag... I also got 2 more quick questions:

6) How can i change chameleon timeout? I actually use GRUB and i chainload it. I'd like to boot OSX up w/o any delay. By default its set to 10 seconds.

7) I found there is available an update to 10.8.3. I installed iatkos 10.8.2. Is it safe to update? Will it boot up again? Anyone tried this?

6) http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=664 or see boothelp file (should be included with Chameleon distribution)

7) Her is a thread regarding the update. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/287063-1083-is-out/ Have a look. Distros (iatkos and such) MAY be less safe to update then retail installs. Though retail installs are also not always 100% safe as Apple seem to "invent" something new every now and then.

I have successfully upgraded to 10.8.3. And solved nearly all problems. Well, still got new question ;)

Apple computers have different keyboard layouts... They got command, option keys... How do you use them? I think its not possible to have keyboard shortcuts known from windows or linux? I tried to change keyboard mapping but cant find any suitable options myself. What do you think?

Apple CMD key has the same function as CTRL key in Windows. In other words press CMD+O to open a file, CMD+S to save etc. Option key is like Alt key in Windows. If you have a Windows keyboard Windows ALT key will work as CMD, Windows key as Option key. In other words keys on Windows keyboard will function like the keys located in the same spot as on Apple's keyboard. I've a standard Windows keyboard on a notebook, and it all works that way.

I find Apple solution more convenient. So have even remapped all the relevant keys in Windows, to replicate the layout Apple uses. You can remap keys (using standard OS X tools) or create your own layout (Ukelele app). Or remap keys in Windows (using SharpKeys for instance). It's more a matter of personal preferences IMO. :)
