Video issues on ML (iATKOS)

Hi guys. I recently installed iatkos ml on my PC and everything works flawlessly, except my video card (a nVIDIA 8600GT 512MB). I have two monitors, the 1st one is connected to the vga port (and it works, at native resolution), but when I connect the 2nd one to the dvi port of the card, the 1st one goes black (like in sleep mode) and the 2nd shows "no signal". On SL, the solution was easy, I used natit or nvenabler and inserted that string in the Info.plist and that was it. But on ML, it seems it's not so easy...

I also don't have a clue if I have full acceleration or not (to be honest, I think not)....

Can someone help me with this?

Thank you :)

Hi,i want to help you.... :wink2:

Try patch your DSDT with DualLink

http://olarila.com/forum/patches.php

Tools to use

  • DSDTSE - this is a brilliant tool for DSDT compilation/decompilation. It contains a small database of fixes, an editor with syntax highlighting and a comparison tool. It doesn't patch DSDT automatically. The editor is a bit slow, so I use it only for minor fixes, but I use DSDTSE for easy DSDT compilation. There's now a Windows version available, but I haven't tried it yet. For all the latest updates check www.osx86.es.

Well, I'm sorry, but that dsdt patching broke my osx installation. I got kernel panic at boot, no matter what flags I used. I had to delete that aml file from Windows and now the system is up again.

I managed to fix the dual monitor issue, someone from iatkos official fb page said to use PCIRootUID=1 at boot and it works, I have 2 monitors now :) However, I have to enter this at every startup...is there any way to make it "automatically"?

And I still don't think I have acceleration...

Add to org.chameleon.Boot.plist:

<key>PciRootUID</key>

<string>1</string>
