Hi Everyone,

I have just suceessfully installed iAtkos l2 on my PC. Somehow it is already installed wifi and ethernet and video drivers. It works like a charm. Although I am having a few small issues.

1. After it installing i removed the iAtkos l2 (OS X lion) DVD from the pc and restarted... it says Operating System Not found. This i found weird becuase in the customization of the install it already checked chamelon bootloader. (I don't have any other HDD or OS by the way) My hard drive size is 1TB and 6GB ram. Please tell me how to fix this becuase i can't boot without putting the iAtkos l2 dvd in and manually selecting.

2. I noticed that after installing skype while i am in the middle of a call it says a message on the screen you need to restart your computer.

3. I think this is already working but just to make sure how do i check for qe/ci.

4. My main issue is just getting the no operating system found error away and making it boot without me putting in the dvd itself.

Also if it helps in my bios i have UEFI Enabled. Should i disable it. And i installed mac on MBR should i install on GUID does it make any difference.

Please help me asap. I would really appricate it.

Thanks!

iatkos L2 is NOT Mountain Lion. Its Lion.

1.Install Chameleon Bootloader.Download it from OSX86.net.You will find an installer if you look for it.Download the latest version and make sure it says it supports Mountain Lion or LION.

2.Take a picture of the message and post it here. Are you using some webcam driver?

3.Check if you can see Screen Saver.

4.You can have your UEFI enabled. But if there is any sleep, restart problem you could try disabling it or get a patched power management kext for your system.

MBR/ GUID doesn't matter.

All of these question could be answered by simple Googling.Add you system specs. It's much easier to help when you know what you are dealing with.

Hopefully helps.

You need either legacy BIOS to use Chameleon or Clover bootloader that can handle UEFI. Chameleon cannot boot in true UEFI mode. As for MBR vs GUID, either can work, I prefer GUID and GUID should be used with UEFI as well.

Traditional non-UEFI board BIOS boot: BIOS->MBR->PBR->BOOT->CLOVERX64.EFI-> ... system *Clover legacy boot*

Traditional non-UEFI board BIOS boot: BIOS->MBR->PBR->Chameleon BOOT-> ... system *Chameleon*

UEFI: UEFI>BIOS->MBR->PBR->Chameleon BOOT-> ... system *Chameleon*

UEFI: UEFI->CLOVERX64.EFI-> ... system *Clover EFI*

Chameleon requires you use legacy BIOS mode to boot UEFI. Clover allows you to use UEFI boot direct and not have to switch to legacy BIOS mode. This option is also available in new Windows using it's EFI boot. When coupled with a new GPU that includes EFI VBIOS (Usually at this point it must be requested from GPU maker and flashed by user if offered at all), you can enable Windows Ultra Fast boot which supposedly when also paired with SSD can allow you to boot to desktop in only a few seconds. Personally I'm not in any hurry to get to Windows :) All EFI boot require GPT (GUID) partitioning on boot drive.

I'm no UEFI guru by any means, but as far as I know, the CSM (compatibility support module) to allow legacy BIOS booting has been present on almost all mobos, but this may change. For some of the new windows 8 features, Microsoft's is trying to require that they only work if the mobo has UEFI only and no CSM. So if you were someone who bought one of these boards you could; install windows 8 and that's it or use Clover or a lesser known EFI bootloader. Were hackintoshing here, if you buy hardware that can't work, you deal with it :)

Mine's got CSM.Although never using it.I am pretty sure I disabled Legacy Oprom totally.Seems to work fine with Windows 8 and Windows 7.Don't think XP's gonna work ever though.Don't even care about it. :smoke:
