Hi, I'm having occasional kernel panics on my hack, but every time I try to look in the console logs after a reboot, there is no indication of a kernel panic. This makes it impossible to troubleshoot. Is there any solution other than using strictly verbose mode from now on? This doesn't seem normal. I was under the impression that kernel panics are always logged. What gives?

Unfortunately, i recommend using strict verbose for a while indeed. Gather a number of them logs, and please post here for us to know if we can be of any help.

Best regards!

There are some rare cases (hardware related) where nothing is logged. I had several iBooks that KP'ed due to poor soldering of the bluetooth module, with no trace in the console. Still, I'm sure with several readouts there will be some clue...
