Any ideas on this? could you post your complete spec and a screenshot, it would make the process just a bit easier. But looking at the error, i think it has something to do with your cpu and gnu

After installation is completed, the first reboot does not require any bootflag unless you get stuck Ok, now everything looks right. Three issues though: 1) Touchpad doesn't recognize gestures : double swipe('back' and 'forward' commands in browsers) and triple swipe(switching between screens). Sometimes cursor freezes until I click with a mouse. ElanTech TouchPad kext is installed. 2) Brightness: when it is minimum, there's no highlight at all. 3) How to make laptop sleep when I close lid and wake up on opening? No multitouch is the most disappointing since this makes osx useless. My laptop is 5830Tg, but i used kexts for 4830TG (As in the guide)
alee168
Hi, I'm brand new to this forum and the world of hackintoshes. I just wanted to share my experience installing Mountain Lion and some of the kexts I found online. I take no credit for any of the kexts . Trackpad with 3 Finger Gestures (Synaptics Touchpad) -Remove any PS2 drivers -Install VoodooPS2.kext by Rehabman -https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Voodoo-PS2-Controller/wiki/How-to-Install -to configure 3 finger gesture go to the System preferences->Keyboard->Keyboard shortcuts->Mission control. When editing the keyboard shortcut perform the 3 finger gesture (it is mapped by Rehabman to a specific key combo). Can you publish the DSDT to test it? Thanks a lot. Hello there! I've been a bit busy recently and haven't made any progress with the DSDT, but I will post it here within the hour. So far, I've just gotten the brightness controls to work within the OS and when I have more time, I'll implement sleep (although, the laptop sleeps fine already). Just make sure you choose the correct SSDT for your CPU and all should be good. Edit: File uploaded, test it out and tell me if it works! Second, the ElanTech kext in the patch is not the most updated version, see update 1 2. Sleep with USB 3.0 -Install the SleepEnabler.kext -https://code.google.com/p/xnu-sleep-enabler/downloads/detail?name=SleepEnabler.kext.10.7.x-10.8.zip&can=2&q= -Install latest edition of USB 3.0 kext -http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/286860-genericusbxhci-usb-30-driver-for-os-x-with-source/ -add following flag to the chameleon.boot.plist in /Extra, "-gux_nosleep" without the quotes. Btw my system is the 3830TG-6431 with i5-2410 and GT540M graphics (though it doesn't work) and i have applied a DSDT (not sure if the same one as in the OP) I will test it out, thanks for the suggestion, especially the USB 3.0 sleep. (your DSDT and SSDT should be the same as the one provided) Hello there! Great work, I will post a link to this post on the front page.

340865669
My 3830TG: i5-2430m 8GB DDR3 (4Gx2) HD3000 + GT540M(Disabled) 640GB HDD Trial 1: Corrupted the partition table for whole disk I created a partition of about 80GB without formatting it on Windows. Then I got into the installation using a USB Drive created by BootDiskUtility Then I format that partition on Disk Utility on Mac And it says "Disk Erase Failed" So I reboot, and it says "No Boot Device Found" Then I boot into Mac Install Disc again, except a 15GB partition for my Ubuntu, ALL MY PARTITIONS ARE GONE Luckily, the parititions table are recovered using DiskGenius. Trial 2: Installed all Kexts, and failed This time I created the HFS+ partition in GParted to prevent corruption of partitiion table. Finally I completed the Mac Installation. (at the first time I forgot to Customize the installation since I am not experienced...later I figured it out) Then I followed the steps to install the kexts , and replaced the DSDT... and then clear cache and repair permission, then reboot with -f, then it looks like this: Trial 3 : Just the touchpad kext...failed too! This time I didn't install all the kexts, I just install ElanTouchPad along with ApplePS2Controller, then reboot, and it looks like this: Trial 4 How about not installing kexts...still failed! This time no kext are installed, I can play with the mac for a few times I modified the Org.chameleon.Boot.plist to set default partition as windows, then sometime later, it looks like this So...any help? Yuvin
Hey guys, just a quick update. I decided that the i3 wasn't doing it for me and went out to buy an i5 2430M from eBay, but after some searching around, I found a guy who could sell me an i7 2460M for just 7 dollars more ($80) so I went for it. This laptop is fairly easy to disassemble, but putting it back together was a real pain due to a ribbon cable for the right USB port and audio ports not wanting to get into its slot. But in the end, it worked out and I've been running it for a couple of hours now. Everything seems to be stable, though I use throttle stop to stop the CPU from turbo boosting to 3.4Ghz and causing itself to throttle when gaming. Anyways, now It's time to try and get this thing to boot OS X again. With the old install, it hangs while booting on the Apple logo. Probably due to the SSDT. Hopefully I can get this working and have a laptop that is better than the high end 13'' MBP that costs $1499 for only around $500.
styrian
Hello Yuvin! You should not hazard during installling OSX with your not needed Kexts. You must just have in EXtra SmBios.plist of MBP 8,2, org.chameleon.Boot.plist, themes folder and nothing else. You must install on your Bootstick only FakeSmc.Kext, nullcpupowermangement.kext and ApplePs2Controller.Kext, to get keyboard working. If the touchpad is not working, use an Usb-mouse. This is the smallest issue. ElanTouchpad. kext make big troubles. In this case is less more. You should here in Downloads get Pandoro. Do with it a with tips guided standard install. Do a complete new install. If you have no working OSX get VMWare Player and it's concerning extra files and install all. A ML-VMware image you can find an ussual places. In VMWare Usb ports for ML must work. During the installing switch in Bios to Sata to AHCI, Usb to legacy, Bios Boot to legacy, VT and secure boot to disabeld. With an Pandora standard install you should be for the first moment good. If you have time, read this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/280756-guide-the-all-in-one-guide-to-vanilla-os-x-including-chameleon-dsdt-for-beginners/ Believe me, less is often more. Have fun.

Have fun. Hello, I assume you were talking to "340865669" regarding his issue, I have my install working fine now, changed over the SSDT and all is good. I'm looking to buy a new WiFi card for my laptop as this Atheros one does not support 5 Ghz signals. Anyone know of any WiFi cards that are supported OOB on OS X that support 5Ghz Wireless N connections? Thanks, Yuvin
styrian
@ Yuyin Sorry for that, you are right. You have to find a 5 ghz wifi card with the same chip, that apple is using. For usb solution you must find a stick with support too. Look here: USB 3.0, 802.11a/b/g/n: http://www.edimax.com/en/produce_detail.php?pd_id=479&pl1_id=28&pl2_id=138 I don't know, if it really works. Have fun! Alien1959
Hi there, I've had the same model, and have been experimenting for the past year. I've found success by mixing ur tutorial with another one I found from China, working DSDT and all. I'm running on 1.8.4, vanilla and retail. Is there anyway you can upload your entire kext library? Our machines are identical aside from the wifi card. (mine is sadly the BCM43xx versions that cannot work with OSX) Hopefully I can get it all to work, sleep wifi etc. On retail and not a distro thanks!
