Still waiting for root device during install on sony vaio

Hello my friends i just bought a sony vaio and i would like to install Mountain lion ooi it.

The problem is that when i plug the usb installer i get the error "still waiting for root device " after the following "no interval found for . using 8000000"

Please help me!!!!!

Here are my specs:

 

SONY VAIO SV-E1512H1EW

INTEL 330 SERIES SSDSC2CT120A3K5 120GB

Intel Core i3-3110M

4096 MB (1 x 4096 MB) DDR3

AMD Radeon HD 7650M

try this, you need delete or remove all ATI kexts from S/L/E , boot with -s

 

mount /

mkdir kext_backup

cd System/Library/Extensions

mv ATI* /kext_backup

cd System/Library/Caches

rm -rf *

diskutil repairPermissions /

reboot -R lnk

Thanks iFire and sorry for the late response, it worked ,i installed ml on son vaio but now when i try to open "about this mac" it stucks for a while

and then it returns me in log in screen!

Do you know how to fix this in order to add kexts for a fully functional system?

what do you install? a distro or Vanilla? try Onix app and made a full Maintenance, look if this resolve your problem, download app DarwinDumper here in the forum and post a full report
