dude179
You know the best way I found is to get a USB sound Card that supports ASIO driver Or It works on ASIO driver Such as Avid. It works great. All you have to do is plug it in install the dmg and there you have the sound. I'm Musician So it was just a coincident that I had Avid USB hardware. It works great. But before you buy make sure it does work on ASIO drivers.

HUSABER
has not sorted a thing. same issue after installing kext. also the kext was supposdly successfully installed as used kext utility. ps yes the specs above are correct. First-Go to S/L/Extensions-Delete AppleHDA.kext(This kext have conflict with VoodooHDA) Two-Logout or Reboot Three-Install VoodooHDA(May Be Try Another version like 2.7.{censored})one by them work for you :wink2: Four-Rebuild kext cashes on Terminal with command: sudo kextcache -v 1 -a i386 -a x86_64 -m /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext /System/Library/Extensions Five-Reboot and follow step Six Six-First boot is with flag-ignore cashes(Not get KP)

BMW it's GeForce 8500gt graphics card. Not using on board as dont work.
Mrx33
the kext i gave you is for the board audio you must have done something wrong you mentioned a usb audio adapter maybe a conflict in audio i been installing mac in pc since tiger 10.4 i have tested double check triple check and i know the kext works if i wasn't sure i wouldn't never have uploaded maybe you tried to many diferent audio kexts and something else is causing kernel panic if you a video kernel panic you selected an injector don't select injectors select graphics enabler if you have the usb audio plugged unpplugged delete the drivers for the usb audio go to system preference audio and select green output maybe that the option you missing but i think the best solution is to reinstall aitkos one last time don't select any audio during installation after you login with a fresh system try the kext i assure you it works or better yet tell me what you selected during the iatkos installion and tell you what's causing the problem or the kernel panic don't worry i have time today but i have to prove to all g41mvgs3 r2.0 that the kext works
jack254718
The USB isn't arrived yet. And kernal panics due to graphics. Not a main problem. No other audio kexks were ever installed. Have installed iatkos with the default audio kexts. ML No injectors have been used or selected during installation.
Mrx33
i not sure if you get audio in safe mode maybe is installed correctly but since you are in safe mode that's why is not showing up or working you need to login in normal mode ok let' s try again i'm going to tell you how to install ml aitkos in g41mvgs3 r2.0 go to bios f2 o delete in bios screen press f9 bios default just change memory execution to enable press f10 save reboot do the samething you always do to install ml erase the drive make a new partion mbr journaled 'i don't remember the exact name but is the first option' click costumized this is the only thing you have to uncheck uncheck audio uncheck ahci this is the only thing you have to check check legacy logo check no achi intel sata ide 'the 3rd one i don't remeber the name but that is the descryption' when you login to the new fresh ml drag and drop the voodoohda inside kext utility reboot i have tested 8600 gt with lion and it works so i think 8500 should work too if you remember doing a diference selection that was the problem most likely this time the graphic card and audio should work that's what i do and everything works 100% try that and tell me the results
jack254718
Ok... I'm trying installation of my spare harddrive as I don't fancy reformatting my current installation just yet in case of the problem not being resolved, I take it with the infor given above that it will fix the boot up issue with the normal mode. It's very good of you to help me like this at this hour. Lol. Thank you Again and I will infrm you as soon as the installtion is finished, By the way Intel core duo 2 2.93 ghz with ddr 3 4gb ram nope/ still same issue. the grphics card issue is still there. on normal boot get KP for mecd or something Audio doesn't wrk either. Mrx33
this is to confirm the audio don't work in safe i boot my computer in safeboot no audio here are your options do the exact samething i told before but this time uncheck graphics enable go to vga nvidia and check old cards if that don't work the problem is unsopported video card you have to get a new card or install lion the kext works in lion and in ml too you won't get audio untill you boot in normal mode if you boot in normal remove applehda kext install voodoohda kext reboot the speakers looks gray go to system preference sound sound effects select sound output device headphones green front output headphones green front now the speaker icon turns dark black which it means audio is active and enable try that i be back later today
