WhatTheTech
Take a look here: http://code.google.com/p/xnu-dev/issues/detail?id=390 , specifically "For kernel panic "vm_page_set_colors" add boot option: colors=32 (work for me)" OR http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59457-kernel-panic-upon-booting-the-hacked-9a499-dvd/

WhatTheTech
You're welcome! Just for future reference, it took me about 10 seconds to find the answer on Google by searching "vm_page_set_colors kernel panic fix" - the great thing about kernel panics is that they are unique in nomenclature and (normally) easily googled! Just mentioning it so you can have your answer faster, rather than waiting around! Glad to help!
