Asus U52F Laptop.

  • Intel Core i3 1st Gen 350M (2.26 GHz)
  • 4 GB Memory 500 GB HDD
  • Intel HD Graphics
  • 1366 x 768
  • BIOS settings: UEFI Boot [Enabled], Virtualization Tech [Disabled]

Finished installing El Capitan but I cannot boot into it with the USB installer. I get the "IOBluetoothFamily start -- completed" error/hang. I have tried deleting the AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext but to no avail. Any ideas?

Thanks.

  • 2 weeks later...

try with fake id 0x12345678 .......

if it does not go, put the Clover folder ....

Excuse my English, I use the translator

 Success!

I was able to boot by using FakeID 0x12345678 under IntelGFX. Thank you!

Now I am installing the variety of AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext on my boot drive. Should I delete the FakeID?

Will AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext load if I leave FakeID in config.plist?

Start the PC, in Desktop delete fake id and INSTALL no copy , only AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext in S \ L \ E

After starting and it should go normally

AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext.zip This kext for my HP630 resolution 1366x768 , for you I do not know , Test ....

I did exactly as you suggested and still could not boot without fake_id 0x12345678.

Does anyone have functioning brightness control on 10.13 using the AppleBacklightInjector kext?

10.12.4+ backlight: You can use IntelBacklight, alongside with a patched backlight in DSDT and Brightness by Bergdesign.

You will need to use the Brightness by Bergdesign to control the brightness.

Guys, im not able to see desktop on my pavilion g7 1150us.  It has the same cpu as my dv6 1250us. After the installation and installed the kexts through kext wizard and when im supposed to reach desktop, it's just black.  Am I missing something? I've been following the same procedures for all my 3 intel 1st gen laptops and they all work except for this g7 I just acquired.

Here's my ACPI. No, I don't have any discrete graphics. It only has Intel HD Graphics. Thank you for your help. :thumbsup_anim:

try this configplist .....

Of course you must have installed AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext .....

Otherwise start with fake id 0x12345678 install the kext reboot and try ...

Hello, guys. I would like to thanks for really awesome HOWTO.

Trying to install High Sierra and stucking on black screen while first boot up.

I created  USB flash 16 gb with latest Pandora Box v3.038. Considering to this:

The problem with 2010 Intel® Arrandale Processors with Intel® HD Graphics is that the Intel® HD Graphics kexts inside the OS X installer are not patched. They will prevent you from seeing the installation screen. However, there is a solution. We need to create an OS X USB installer that gives us the ability to access /System/Library/Extensions. From here, we can delete those kexts so that we are able to see the installation screen.

These steps I has been done:

  • Deleted AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext from /System/Library/Extensions on my USB stick
  • Changed Fake ID to 0x12345678
  • booted with flag GraphicsEnabler=No

I see only black screen without any verbose or debug info on the screen even If I boot with -v flag.

No installation screen, rainbow circle, nothing at all. After 30 seconds laptop goes to reboot and diode on USB flash stop flashing.

My laptop config is:

  • Samsung R730 Intel based.
  • Intel HD Graphics with Arrandale video chip, hardware id [8086:0046]
  • SSD Plextor
  • USB 2.0 controller

Unfortunately after 2 days reading the forum still no luck

Any idea? Thanks!

Sorry my English, if you use Fake ID 0x12345678 you DO NOT need to delete anything inside your USB, then proceed by installing osx on SSD ....

Installed OS in SSD always starting with the usual FAKE id, install the Kext that you find here with Kext wizard ....
Done this starts the PC and try trying to start WITHOUT fake id ...

Post your EFI or Table ACPI Origin .....

This set in Clover configurator for intel 1° gen VGA, rename GFX0 to IGPU

Thank you for reply.

I tried both solutions - with FakeId and deleting the kext from S/L/E.

Here is my original ACPI attached.

In two cases the black screen ???
Do you have other discrete graphics ???
Can you attach configplist and \ or folder origin ???

The fake ID works on all VGA intel I think, allow you to get to the desktop with bad graphics only 7MB of VRAM
try this config, copy to the Clover folder

Currently I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS on my laptop and want to migrate into High Sierra.

Ubuntu works like a charm. I have only one VideoCard onboard.

In any cases I have a black screen after Clover (with FakeId or without kext).

On clover screen pressed F4 button. I attached in zip my EFI/CLOVER/ACPI folder and here is a config.plst

But one thing is strange. Clover looks a little weird..

UPDATE: just tried your config.plst - unfortunately the same.

Reboot after 30 seconds with no verbose at all.

My BIOS settings after Load setup defaults attached as well.

The ACPI tables ask you to understand the fixes to be introduced in the configplist, I am NOT a technician, but only a self-taught person who can run the VGA in my HP630 has only put us 4 long months of tests .......

With your configplist you will NEVER start , test my config please

IF YOU DO AS I SAY, I AM OPTIMIST FOR THE RESULT

For CPU Intel HD 1 GEN SMBIOS MacBook Pro 6.1 6.2 nothing else is fine

Still no go for me on my g7. I've been at it for a week now still can't get to desktop without fake id.

Probably you have to try other Kext x your VGA there are many types in the Download , test my configplist??

test them one by one

Considering to your reply sending a /EFI/CLOVER folder.

EFI/CLOVER/config.pls.origin - original config file

EFI/CLOVER/config.plist - your plist

Yep, I'm ready to test  :)

Thank you for reply!

Also I can boot Ubuntu to look up info if you need it.

Delete the kext you have both in Other and in 10.13, insert my kext, test

Install Clover bootloader in Legacy Esp

without fakesmc kext You will never boot, no hack will leave without it

Could you direct me to the link to download those files and your config file please? Will give it a try later on tonight.

You just have to change that FB.kext ....
just one kext x activate the graphics NOT all as the guide says
