donovan6000
I'm having some trouble patching my DSDT to achieve native power management. My laptop's processor is an Intel i7 740qm. This is a Nehalem processor, so I thought I just had to apply the LPC patch to my DSDT but I'm still getting a kernel panic related to the powermanagement. If someone could edit my DSDT or tell me what I need to fix I'd be very grateful. DSDT.zip
westwaerts
if you are above 10.7.4 you need a SSDT in addition to your DSDT. SSDT defines the speedsteps for your CPU. and kernel panic isnt kernel panic, so a foto of your kp can help.
WaldMeister
Could be that you have to patch the appleintelcpupowermanagement.kext. http://olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1003 Third post is in English. Would first try the SSDT method as posted above.
