SergeyKlimov
I'm working on Hackintosh in XServe G5 case. It's gonna be low-power quiet i3/ivy bridge based htpc. I read all available manuals/service guides, cannot find front panel board connector pinout. I'm ok to solder a to-ATX conventor board, I just need some tips on pinout. WhatTheTech
Wish I could help, but even the service manual doesn't mention pinouts, as it's meant only for repairing/replacing. A couple of questions: 1) Is there any way to trace the wires to which components they go to? 2) Can you take some close up pictures? There's a small chance that they might be similar to other Apple cases, which would make things easier. Wishing you luck! I've been throwing around the idea of an Xserve mod for a week or so.. sharky311
Dude, I never thought of this. I would love to try this project too. Currently I'm working on gutting an eMac but this is definitely on the list! I meant to say that I'll offer whatever I can find on this.
