Enlightenment 0.17, or simply E17, has finally been released: http://enlightenment...=about/e17&l=en

E17 has been the Duke Nukem Forever of the *nix Window Managers/Desktop Environments, having been in development for 12 years.

If you want to try it without too much fuss, download Bodhi Linux 2.2.0: http://sourceforge.n...dhilinux/files/

Personally I find E17 quite a good alternative to (once?) more popular Desktop Environments, such as Gnome 3 or KDE 4.
