Hi i' ve managed a new retail installation on a Fujitsu C710

I have get all to work at full with some fix now i can't enable only usb 3.0

i can see 2 Usb controller this one :

 

 

Bus USB 3.0 ad alta velocità:

 

Posizione controller host: USB integrata

Driver controller host: AppleUSBXHCI

ID dispositivo PCI: 0x7f8200001e31

ID revisione PCI: 0x7f8200000004

ID fornitore PCI: 0x7f8200008086

Numero bus: 0x14

 

and this one:

ID revisione PCI: 0x0004

I now the frist is for 3.0 xhci also the second is for 2.0 ehci

 

i' ve try a lot of solutions PXHCD and add my id 0x1e31 in the info.plist of AppleUSBXHCI.kext

 

but nothing work...

 

If anyone know how make it on please help me THX.

Do you have any USB options in bios ? I had the same problem but got USB working nativelly but enabling XHCI and disabling legacy USB. See if you have same options.

 

Thanks i' ve try to set usb as XHCI but no disabling legacy mode now i wanna try it but you also use patched kext to enable it?

Yes i' ve 2 usb controller one usb 2.0

(

0x1e2d)

and one usb 3.0

(

0x1e31

)

and if i set XHCI or Legacy in bios nothing change.

 

But u see XHCI controller in system profiler ? and this

0x1e31 is your id HW?

At the End on my pc Fujitsu c710 if i DISABLING xHCI mode for USB in BIOS all my port work like 2.0 :weight_lift: (THX

and i don't see anyone usb3.0 in system profiler between if enable xHCI mode in BIOS i can see 2 hub 3.0 but it don't work

Hi I have the same set up as you as far as USB goes. I have found that USB3.0 only works from boot. That is to say if I plugin in my USB3.0 external drive and then start my laptop I the have the external drive showing in finder. If I "hot plug" nothing happens. You might want to test this.

For me if i enable xHCI my 4x3.0 usb don't work anyway plug in by start on or not also if i disable xhci mode in bios all my usb 10 6x2.0 4x3.0 ( my pc it's desktop ultrasmall series ) work as 2.0 in osx ML
