Custom Gaming Laptops and Hackint0sh (?)

I have searched all over hackintosh forums and haven't found any sections dedicated to gaming laptops and hackintosh.

---------------------------------------------------------

First off, what do I mean by gaming laptops?

---------------------------------------------------------

In my case, I've researched for companies that sell configurable/cheap gaming laptops. Here are the sites I have found so far:

Basically, these companies buy big name/high powered laptops, customize the hardware, and sell them to you. (Their reputation and reviews may be questionable, but that's another story.)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Why is this relevant to hackint0sh or insanelymac?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

(1) Most of the configurations sold by these companies, mentioned above, sell laptops with Intel processors (3rd gen i5/i7) and Nvidia graphics (640m/650m/660m/670m/680m/etc..) Therefore, I think there is a clear chance of hackint0shing {{Correct?}}

(2) ****I believe there are many gamers out there who want a laptop and who are interested in Hackintosh. At least, I am.

What am I looking for, in terms of feedback, from this post?

  • Specific information regarding the hackint0sh-ability of the above specs
  • Creation of a "Gaming Laptop Hackintosh" sub thread (possible? ;) )
  • > Could include non-custom gaming laptops too <
  • Feedback on the relevance/community interest of the topic.

The laptop I listed does not have optimus. Or at least I don't think it does.... I don't think it mentioned having an integrated card.... meaning no optimus right?

I'm not looking into any laptops that have it... because hackintosh doesn't work it with, right?

Only for Asus or Dell Lappy without integrated video card (always disable from the bios)?

Otherwise, it's a little too ambitious

^^Not sure what you meant here, by the way.

They are the only manufacturers of Notebooks, I know, with integrated graphics disabled by default.

Obviously with recent processors like Sandy or Ivy Bridge.

Others Lappy have only the integrated cards activable in OSx, or are very old, and although discrete, less powerful than an Intel HD4000...for a serius Game

Am I wrong? I would be happy
