haloween
Hello ! I was unable to google anything or it's possible that i've typed wrong things I want to install Mountain Lion on a Dell SC440. Since the server is equipped with an crappy onboard ATI card i've purchased a Nvidia Quadro NVS285 card. Totally enough for my needs. It's based on a NV44 GPU with 128MB of onboard mem. I'm limited only to x1 PCIe cards since SC440 is a server system. The boot is being performed from a USB pendrive. I've tested multiple flags like -v -x ,GraphicsEnabler=no, PciRootUID=0, "Graphics Mode" with various combinations of these, none worked. Tried to add DeviceID 0x016510de to kext, sill no success. To sum up: - I'm unable to boot into installer - If i use GraphicsEnabler=no i get an ApplePolicyChecker panic - If i boot normally i get some text after that it's a framebuffer fail , around a minute abd some Pci rubbish. I've managed to do a "photo screen" of the stuff written before the screen gets blank, it's below http://imageshack.us.../img3429ho.jpg/ Video on the effect https://vimeo.com/55891655 Has anybody got any ideas on how to force that thing to boot ?
