Vinyl
Hi, I've noticed that there isn't very much info about installing OSX onto the Razer Blade, so I decided to take a stab at it. I've gotten the system installed(OSX 10.8), however I can't get the system to load without booting into safe mode, or deleting all the video drivers (even intel) off of the system. I was wondering if anyone had any info on how to get the HD 4000 working on this thing. Thanks! Edit: Inside the installer, when I use the efi string below, the system loads at native res (not sure if accelerated or not), but when I try to boot after the install, it makes the system stall. <string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000004006601140000006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e626f6172642d31</string>
artur_pt
hello have u removed geforce.kext ? only intelhd 4000 works forget the nvidia http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/280372-hd4000-full-acceleration-for-108-1075/ good hack
Vinyl
I know that nvidia will never work, and I removed all the video drivers minus the intel but i've been reading that breaks Intel support Im going to re-install and remove the kexts below and see what I can get going. Even after doing this will I still need to compile a DSDT? NVDAGF100Hal.kext NVDAResman.kext Used the same EFI string that was posted earlier, removed no GFX drivers from installer. OS boots in native resolution inside installer. (see picture, cant add attachment), still not sure if accelerated or not.
Vinyl
Update: Reinstalled, removed those kexts. System boots without -x but still no acceleration. Only possible thing I can think of is DSDT?
Vinyl
Update #2: Got the system loading at native resolution with a DSDT. However it only works in safe mode. Loading normally results in loginwindow never loading. Any ideas?
Vinyl
Update #3: Good news to any blade users looking to get this going. Got the HD 4000 working with QE/CI etc. Just getting a few more kexts together in regards to sound, multi touch trackpad, and battery. Will post DSDT and any patches I add to it as well. Vinyl
Hi there, I will be ordering my Razer on Monday. Please can you give is more updates and mini-guide or steps you took. Thanks Sorry for the late reply. I should have a guide up sometime soon whenever I get everything finalized. Windows decided to run chkdsk on my OSX partition and corrupted everything a few days ago so I'm back to square one on a few things.

TheMarkness
I'm eagerly awaiting any updates as well. I'm going to take a stab at this when my new razer blade comes in tomorrow. I wanted a more Windows centered device over a Macbook Pro Retina but I also wanted to have at least some limited access to OSX for the user of Logic Pro for recording. Any added discussion would be greatly appreciated, any progress I make I'll post on here with files . I've had a few older laptops of mine running OSX in the past so hopefully come together without much difficulty .
