[HELP] Enable NVidia GeForce 210

Can anyone explain to me how to enable this graphics card (NVidia GeForce 210) in snow leopard (10.6.4)?

I have already tried EFI strings and GraphicsEnabler=Yes but they didn't work)

 

Who can help me?

Ok I don't have problem to update to the 10.6.8 but after install these drivers what I have to do?

I have updated to Mac OS X 10.6.8 and I have installed the nvidia drivers from here but my graphics card still not working

In system profiler I see that:

 

 

Any suggestions for get this card working (I have already tried the EFI String)?

Hi. Try the PCIRootUID fix combined with GraphicsEnabler, should works. Please see this topic, maybe is a problem with the UID of your motherboard:

It is there a flag from chameleon prompt and/or o.c.B.p:

PCIRootUID=0 (or 1)

I don't have problem to load the PCIRootUID (0 or 1) with the flag of chameleon...

Question: I have installed NVEnabler.kext from

and now my system is very slow... how I can solve this? (I noted that with it the top bar is transparent...)

Try this but change the name in the info.plist in nvenabler content's

Too me work fine with Geforce 310m (id:

0x0a66)

and Geforce GT 210 (id: 0x0a20 )

These kext are from mac os x 10.8.2 and the id of my graphics card is 0a65 not 0a20, are you sure that they can work in snow leopard?

don't install kexts only nveabler and nvclock; change in nvenabler your id card and name of your card

non sono molto bravo a parlare inglese quindi visto che anche te sei italiano ti espongo per bene il problema: adesso la barra superiore è traslucida quindi QE/CI dovrebbero essere abilitati solo che il sistema è molto lento, impossibile da gestire, si blocca per circa 1 minuto dopo qualunque cosa che faccio! Sapresti dirmi come posso risolvere?

secondo me dipende da altro..

 

ma mica avvii con kernelcache= Yes?

RAM: 2GB DDR2 667 MHz

SMBios: Mac Pro 3,1

GraphicsEnabler: No

 

Non so il modello del pc (è di un mio amico) ... comunque per una panoramica più completa ti riallego il report di AIDA64 (l'ho fatto prima di cambiare la ram e la gpu perciò alcuni parametri sono diversi...)

La versione che sto usando di chameleon è la v2064.

No non avvio usando le cache e ho provato anche con -f ma non cambia nulla...

 

Sto usando snow leopard 10.6.8 con il relativo legacy kernel (10.8.0 v2). Di seguito ti allego una foto dei kext che ho in /E/E nel caso possano interferire con il funzionamento della sheda:

PS: attualmente sto usando un DSDT patchato fatto da un mio amico (con appicate le patch RTC e EHCI). Se può servire te lo allego...

mah secondo me non è tanto x la scheda video che è lento... ma se metti GraphicsEnabler=Yes ?

Ci sono novità. Ho controllato nel bios e ho visto che l'audio e la gpu erano disabilitati (probabilmente a causa di un reset del CMOS). Ho riattivato tutto e adesso l'audio con voodoohda funziona! Ho installato anche nvenabler solo che al primo avvio dopo la sua installazione funziona tutto alla perfezione (risoluzione corretta, QE/CI, ecc) mentre al successivo boot la gpu torna a funzionare male...

 

Che si fa?

EvOreboot.kext ElliottForceLegacyRTC.kext o un altro kext che preferisci che eviti il reset del bios (mi pare che c'è applertc10.7.4 ma non mi vorrei sbagliare) cmq io uso questi due...

dal bios vedi se puoi disabilitare il video integrato e usi solo la tua geforce pci

Ah poi mi dimenticavo, insieme nvenabler metti pure nvclock

Ho provato ma non ha funzionato lo stesso... Ho dovuto ritornare il PC al mio amico quindi, almeno per il momento, non posso più provare a farla funzionare...
