Unique New York
I can boot into Safe Mode perfectly, but my graphics card isn't recognized. I installed the NVEnabler kext for my EVGA 9600GT SC. Whenever I boot normally, it'll go to a white screen for about 5 seconds, then go to the iAtkos L2 screen, just without the logo, and it just hangs there. When I press my power button, it just turns off the screen, so I have to hold down the power button to turn it off to restart the booting process. Any ideas on what I can do? I do not recieve any kernel panics/errors in -v mode. Thanks a bunch! Update: Completely fixed all of my issues. Here's the steps I took to get rid of this error Download OSX86Tools, put it onto a USB drive. Boot up Lion, if you can't boot up normally, type "-x" when you're selecting your partition in the bootloader. Open OSX86Tools Click "Add EFI Strings/Boot Flag" The Boot editor window opens. Click "GFX Strings" at the top Scroll to the bottom of the list, and click "Custom GeForce" Choose your graphics cards VRAM (In my case it would be 512MB for the 9600 GT) Choose your video outputs (In my case the 9600 GT has two DVI's) Now at the bottom, a code should be there, right click and copy the long code Open your Boot.plist inside your Extras folder Under GraphicsMode type <key>device-properties</key> <string> Paste Code Here </string> Restart Lion and you should be able to change your resolution, use Launchpad properly, and enjoy Lion's graphics.
