LatinMcG
i recently did Asus P8Z77-V LX but neeeds a bios MSR patch flashed with flashrom (biosrepo.wordpress) i preffer gigabyte as no bios patch needed but the wifi built in i doubt it works. if u need wifi.. get separate pci-e to pci-e mini adapter and add a laptop wifi card to it like AR5B91-X or BCM94321MC

macbrush
I would honestly just get a GB Z77-DS3H, TB-Link 4800 WiFi card, and a generic USB Bluetooth dongle. That way, I know everything would just work.
LatinMcG
TP-Link 4800 WiFi card i rather get the adapter and a laptop card.. that way if he wants to change it..all he has to do is buy a new laptop card cheap. works OOB with no issues.. i dunno about the tp-4800 as sometimes they make rev 1/2/3 and chip changes on most of their models.
