SATA hard disk not detected by Mountain Lion

Hi! I have created an USB stick installer of Mountain Lion with the help of ##### from Mountain Lion app I purchased. My platform is Intel Dual Core with ASUS mb and SATA HDD 250 GB. The installer boots fine but can't detect my HDD at all. Disk Util only detects the USB stick as disk. Is there any way I am able to make it detect my hard disk?

Try changing SATA mode to AHCI in the bios.  ML doesn't detect my SATA controller in IDE mode either, but AHCI mode works.

I have the same problem but no AHCI in BIOS
