djulink
Hi all, Here are some pics of my Mod. It's mainly a Gaming/Multimedia Machine (Win7 x64 solo at the moment). I've been using it for a month now. The main concerns were : - Minimum Noise (less fans needed): from 8db (idle mode) to 35db (load mode) : away from the case - Heat Management (that is the main reason I went from my Lian-Li PC V1000 case to the G5 case: with my new components in the ancient case, I had had some "heat" sudden reboot): Temps are : CPU 28°C/48°C; GPU 32°C/65°C; Case 30°C/38°C. - Easy (Lazy ;-) Modding (less dremeling possible) The components: - AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition (OC' @ 4,015 Ghz) - Gigabyte GM 880 UD2H (mATX) - 2x4 GB 1333 DDR3 Kingston value ram - Gigabyte GTX 560 TI (OC' @ 900 mhz - OOTB) - 1 OCZ Agility 3 120 GB SSD (system) - 2x1,5 TB WD Green Caviar HDD (data) - LG Combo Blu-Ray 10x - LEPA G-750 MAS modular PSU - CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO - BlackCH Front I/O Kit Txs for inspiration found here & @ TonyMacx86.com
terrorgen
Just wondering... is the Darwin kernel still being patched for AMD processors?

terrorgen
That question just poped out of my head. I remembered my first Hackintosh build is on an AMD machine and boy that was a tough job trying to get everything running. Switched to Intel a year later. Great job on the mod though, Something I'd wish on my current build is better cable management, and it's pretty hard if you are on a budget and rather stay away from modular PSUs.
