Hey guys,

my guess is that it (the kernel) is not executing an instruction properly - could be because of memory address incompatibility - you could try switching kernels (if using snow leopard or earlier) to see if it helps - or booting using cpus=1 or testing to see if your memory is ok with memory testing software
