Rampage Dev Posted September 20, 2012 Share Posted September 20, 2012 So I the new update rolled put today and I decided to do a clean install since I was running the 10.8.2 beta. So after doing a clean install of 10.8.0 and applying each update one at a time I had a fully working 10.8.2 installation. So I watched a movie which was a Blu Ray using Blu Ray Player for Mac and it worked fine. Then I went to watch a normal DVD movie and placed in the in drive and DVD play automatically came up and it crashed. I then tried Blu Ray Player for Mac and it also crashed. Last I tried to use VLC with the same result. I have QE running and both OpenCL and OpenGL are working fine. Ideas? It appears this is a common issues and people are restoring the DVD framework from 10.8.0 and it fixes the issues however that does not explain why it is happening. Rampage Dev Posted September 21, 2012 Author Share Posted September 21, 2012 Native Blu Ray burning but no play back as of yet... nor do I expect there ever will be due to the fact that Apple is getting away from Disk Drives.
