Heya guys. So, I made a lil budget build. All is running well, except from the sound.

It works, but it's crackling so much, it's unbearable. I have installed the VoodooHDA 0.2.56. Do you have any ideas on what I should do?

I'm so close to a perfect hackintosh.

Remove the VoodooHDA.kext and try this. Install with Kext Wizard or your preferred program.

IS that some kind of special HDA? Because I've used AppleHDA before, didn't work.

I have a USB sound card now, but I'll try this and get back to you.

Yeap, no sound.

I'm all good with the USB Audio card. Don't worry. Thanks for helping though :)

Thanks for that! For my Asus P6T SE Realtek ALC1200/ALC888 I tried the tonymac86/###### "legacy" version and the OSX86.net "Oscar09" version;  the first didn't work at all for me and the second didn't give me the S/PDIF output (which I need), but this one works a treat!

Here is the full description of it in my motherboard's website.
- 7.1 CH Windows® Vista™ Premium Level HD Audio (ALC888 Audio Codec)

And if it's any help, here is the actual link to the motherboard itself. http://www.asrock.co...939A785GMH/128M
