Hey everyone!

I've had a hackintosh system for like a year now using the iAtkos Lion release....(sorry)
But today I got retail Mountain Lion installed on my system but I want to get it completely running with as little as possible kexts and using a patched DSDT. The only problem is that I'm a complete n00b in this area. I've already googled for some guides, but they are all different and somewhat outdated.

So....can someone point me to a nice guide or will someone help me with getting my DSDT patched up?

My system specs:
- Intel E8400
- GTX 275
- MSI P45 neo2

- P45
- ICH10R
- JMicron 363
- ALC888

Kexts using:
- FakeSMC.kext
- RealtekR1000SL.kext

What is working:
- Graphics acceleration
- Sleep/(power management?)
- Everything else?

Problems:
- Sound not working
- Ethernet (currently using RealtekR1000SL.kext)
- CMOS getting a reset at reboot
- System gets a reboot when you shut down with a USB drive plugged in
- Internal SATA drive as external detected
- External eSata drive as internal detected

Mac OS X/Data/Media are internal and Time Machine is external. All off those are connected to the ICH10R

That would be really great. But can you explain what you will do, so I can do it myself or point me to a nice guide to learn it myself?

Look at my guide here:

http://rampagedev.wo...-your-own-dsdt/

Its just the basics.

Here is the edited DSDT. I need your GPU model and IOreg (From the IOreg app) so I can finish the edits.

For IOreg:

DSDT is done. I injected your Ethernet card and Graphics card. So what does that mean? You no longer ned the boot flag "Ethernet Built In=Yes" and GraphicsEnabler=Yes. You can remove them from your Boot.plist.

Enjoy.

I'm not with my system anymore at the moment, so I'm not able to test this one. But I have tested the one above, but there wasn't any sound in that one. Was it included in that version?
Monday I'll be able to test it, if i have any problem should I respond to this thread or shall I send you a PM?

Thank you very much for all your effort!

Sound is there. You just have to install a patched AppleHDA for your ALC.

Thank you for the edited DSDT, it's working fine. But I came across some problems that still don't work.
- My PC won't shutdown properly
- My PC restarts when a USB drive is plugged in during the shutdown
- Internal HDD as external (see attachment | data is an internal disk)
- External eSATA as internal (see attachment | time machine is an eSATA disk)
- Logitech mouse extra buttons doesn't work, they did before with iAtkos
I hope you will be able to help me or someone else will?

ps: do I still need the restart fix in chameleon?

Install this DSDT then send new IOreg after testing. Shutdown should work and as for the external drives showing internal that is a kext issue.

As for the logitech mouse have you gone to there site and install the drivers?

Really thank for your time!

With the new dsdt.aml:

- My PC won't shutdown properly

- My PC restarts when a USB drive is plugged in during the shutdown

- Internal HDD as external (see attachment | data is an internal disk)

- External eSATA as internal (see attachment | time machine is an eSATA disk)

(the only custom kexts i use are fakesmc and patched applehda)

+ CMOS gets reset after reboot (time -2 hours)

- Logitech mouse extra buttons doesn't work, they did before with iAtkos

(there aren't any drivers from logitech and when using an app like controllermate the buttons aren't detected)

Again thank you for all your effort!
