Depending on the version used. If Snow Leopard/Leopard then go to Applications>Utilities>System Profiler>Hardware>Serial-ATA>Medium Type (in the bottom right pan)

or

Apple Logo>About This Mac>More Info>Hardware>Serial-ATA>Medium Type (in the bottom right pan)
