bertgras
Simple question: What gets loaded when you boot with the USB and then choose your HD as a boot disk. (Mountain Lion) Everything in this folder / Volumes / Mac OS X System Base / System / Library / Extensions? Or everything in this folder / Volumes / Mac OS X System Base / Extra? The system runs good enough, only it boots sometimes "strange" on the HD while the USB stick ALWAYS works. So what's loading on the USB? Already thanks for the comments. nyolc8
Chameleon bootloader. it's in the root of your drive. It's filename is "boot", it's a hidden file. Try to copy your Extra folder from the USB to the HD, and make sure you installed the same version of chameleon on the HD and on the USB. But if you describe "strange boot", we can help you more.
